Official Premiere of the Smilodon watch
February 16, was the day of the official premiere of Konstantin Chaykin's new creation – the Smilodon watch, the newest "zoomorphic" wristmon. Journalists from leading Russian business and lifestyle magazines as well as watch bloggers were the first to have a chance to admire the new model.
The idea for the watch emerged in 2022 and was inspired by the year's symbol in the Chinese lunar calendar, the tiger. Smilodon continues the series of watches inspired by the year symbols which Chaykin releases yearly since 2019: Unique Pig, Mouse king, Minotaur.
The presentation took place in the authentic Chinese restaurant Soluxe Club. The guests were treated to a selection of most famous dishes from the chef Yang Pei Wen, the winner of an international Cantonese cuisine competition gold metal.
Konstantin Chaykin has shared his plans for 2023, including the biggest releases, projects, and events. A special treat was a collection of watchmaker's sketches, and each guest received as a gift a print of sketch of the White Rabbit watch, inspired by this year's symbol.
