Levitas Moon Phase 44

Levitating hands and magical moon

The “Levitas Moon Phases” watch has a mechanism with a “mysterious” time indication system with an additional moonphase indicator complication. The window of the moonphase indicator has been rotated 90 degrees, so that the curved lower edge of the window looks like a number “3”. That is why Konstantin Chaykin decided to place this window at the “3 o’clock” position, giving the watch a sophisticated, memorable appearance.

In the male models of the “Levitas Moon Phases” watch the opaque part of the dial has a classic finish with two types of “guilloche” relief décor overlaid with metal hour markers, the outlines of which draw your attention to the most important feature – the transparent “mysterious” dial.

MOVEMENT

The calibre K.02-1 of the “Levitas Moon Phases” watch was developed by Konstantin Chaykin and is equipped with the “mysterious” time indication system he invented. The movement was made entirely at the Konstantin Chaykin manufactory and is made according to the standards of haute horlogerie. Components finished using classical techniques: striped and perlage; fine longitudinal, radial and circular grindings; manual chamfering, polishing; polished screw holes, pins and jewels; spherical polishing of the axel tips; and galvanized plating of rhodium and gilding. A distinctive feature of the movement is its crescent shape with a maximum ratio between the transparent part and the movement.
