The MAH was opened in 1910 in a building purposefully designed by Marc Camoletti and established a whole network of museums. Among them was the Musée Rath. The Musée Rath, which resembles an ancient temple with its portico based on six Corinthian orders, is acting as the main site of this year's horological exhibition.
Konstantin Chaykin's watches have already been in the finals at GPHG several times. The iconic and award-winning Clown wristmon, which received the GPHG Audacity Prize in 2018 has been honored to join the MAH's permanent exhibition. Since 2018, it has been kept in the museum's main building. In 2021, GPHG visitors got the chance to see the Chaykin's Minotaur, shortlisted in the "Calendar and Astronomy Watch" category.
This year, Konstantin Chaykin's Harley Quinn watch, the first female wristmon in the collection, became the finalist of the Grand Prix D'Horlogerie de Genève. The Harley Quinn was nominated in the Ladies' category. This is the fifth Chaykin's piece to achieve such success. We hope that the attractive image of the sly and sympathetic heroine and flawless technical implementation of the watch will bring the attention of exhibition guests and jury.
