The caliber THJ.01-2 of the Lunar Hijra table clock was developed by Konstantin Chaykin. The movement is made entirely in the Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture according to the standards of haute horlogerie. Complicated movement has tourbillon, moonphase, and indication of date, weekday and month according to Islamic lunar calendar Hijra. This complication is a patented invention of Konstantin Chaykin. Traditional craftsmanship techniques are used to refine the components: fine straight and circular grinding, hand-polished bevels, engravings, polished screw heads, ball polishing of the pivots, nickel plating and gold plating. A special feature of the movement is the design of the “Alpha” tourbillon cage, a characteristic feature of Konstantin Chaykin’s table clocks with tourbillon, as well as four gold-plated chatons of different sizes, which are attached with screws.

When developing the design of the Lunar Hijra table clock, Konstantin Chaykin focused on the beauty of the movement. This is why there are special recesses in the dial and the case windows made of carefully cut crystal glass, which protect the movement and yet do not prevent you from admiring the harmonious shapes and the interplay of the exquisitely crafted movement parts. The basic shape of the case is an octagonal prism with transparent top, front, back and sides. The unique appearance of each Lunar Hijra clock is ensured by the decorations made of precious woods or Florentine mosaics.
