ABOUT THIS WATCH
The Joker watch and the subsequent models in the Wristmons collection (Wristmons – “mechanical monsters on the wrist”) are one of the most unexpected and spectacular discoveries in the watch industry in recent times.
Few – including Konstantin Chaykin himself, the creator of the design and inventor of the movement – would have expected such a positive reaction from watch connoisseurs and experts.
In developing the Joker watch with the face-like dial, Konstantin Chaykin was less concerned with the complex movement than with the idea that the watch is a work of art that evokes a direct emotional response. The appeal of the Joker lies in the freshness of the idea, which is particularly impressive when contrasted with the traditional world of classic dials and hands, in the imposing design of the harmonious features of the face-like dial and in its ruthlessly positive character.

PRODUCTION
There is something special about observing the watch being built. It is not just a mechanical process, but a true art in which the meticulous work of the master craftsman is combined with the precision of technical thinking. Assembling a watch is something that can fascinate, inspire and convey a sense of wonder.

СASEBACK
The letter “J” is engraved in the center of the stainless-steel caseback, while the unique serial number of the timepiece, which was produced in a limited edition of 99 pieces, is engraved on the edge.
CASE AND DIAL FINISHING
The case parts are finished with a combination of fine straight grinding, sandblasting and polishing, while the dial parts are finished with fine straight and circular grinding, sandblasting, manual polishing of the chamfers, relief decoration with two guilloche patterns, galvanic silver plating and rhodium plating, pad printing and multi-layer lacquering. No plastic parts are used in the manufacture of the watch.

MOVEMENT
Especially for the Joker and other models of the Wristmons collection Konstantin Chaykin developed a double-disc display for the hour and minute indications, as well as a moonphase indicator. In the construction and design of the movement, he was guided by the principles of haute horlogerie, despite the fact that the movement is hidden under an opaque dial. Konstantin Chaykin meticulously finished every part of the movement using classic techniques: perlage; fine longitudinal and circular grinding; sandblasting; hand-polished chamfers; engravings; polished screw, pin and jewel recesses; ball polishing of the pivots; and rhodium plating. In total the module includes 8 jewels, designed to reduce friction, while the moonphase indicator is driven by a wheel with 59 teeth.
