The watchmaking Revo Awards is presented annually by Revolution. Only the most distinguished watches, brands, independent watchmakers, and industry leaders are nominated. In 2023 Konstantin Chaykin’s Stargazer watch received the “Best Astronomical Complication” award. Among other winners are Cartier (“Best design”), Rolex (“Brand of the year”), Bulgari (“Best jewellery watch”) and others.

The Stargazer, for which Chaykin designed an entirely new movement of 664 parts, is the most complex watch the master has ever made and one of the most complex watches in the world. The fact it received this prestigious award is hardly surprising: out of 17 complications the model features 11 are astronomical, including a planisphere of the Northern hemisphere, the 24-hour indicators of the mean solar and stellar time and Chaykin’s own invention, a discrete moonphase indicator and an additional hands indicating the azimuth of sunrise and sunset.
